User Review - 8/10 by Danielle KWhen I was a kid, this movie being aired on FOX as a "live broadcast" and it gave me a really good scare. If you're into extraterrestrials, horror, and/or "Blair Witch" style endeavors, be sure to check out the "Incident in Lake County".
User Review - 8/10 by James EThis was my first Cinema-Verte "Found Footage" film, and the one that got me hooked on the genera. I remember seeing this when it aired on TV as a "live broadcast" .. It was before Blair Witch and the Found Footage craze.. so it was easy to creep people out by making them believe this was real.. I wasn't sure .. it was really well done ... they filmed it on a VHS and used practical FX.. and it was very real feeling.. If you like Found Footage horror films you need to see this one.

User Review - 6/10 by Riff JThere's something to be said for a "found footage" film, made in 1998 for what appears to be a miniscule budget, featuring some HORRIBLE acting, still in 4:3, that actually manages to keep you watching late at night despite its shortcomings. It was hammy, and at times extremely laughable, but even still, it kind of still scared the sh*t out of me.

User Review - 6/10 by Jay BIt's official, aliens creep me the fuck out. They're just so damn weird and scary. After the disappointing The Fourth Kind, I decided to revisit this cheap little movie. I remembered it being campy and hokey, but apparently I was wrong. This was a lot scarier than I remembered and did have a fairly natural feel. There were some obvious attempts at character development, which got in the way, such as th forced "Oh, my sisters boyfriend is black and I'm not comfortable with this BLAH BLAH BLAH". Also some of the aliens methods were just pretty confusing, such as making two people kiss. What it does is avoid cheap jump scenes whilst gradually building to a climax of fear.
