Screen-Space - 8/10 by Simon Foster[An] insightful and, most importantly, accessible examination of generational multiculturalism.
Spirituality and Practice - 6/10 by Frederic and Mary Ann BrussatA dramedy about the challenges of accepting diversity and interfaith marriage.
Junkee - 6/10 by Koraly DimitriadisWe need to fund and produce more stories like this; stories which move away from stereotypes to tell enjoyable, unifying and nuanced stories that reflect multicultural Australia, and have the power to heal some of our deepest wounds.
3AW - 5/10 by Jim SchembriHot on the heels of unIndian comes another, better Australian cross-cultural romantic comedy.
FILMINK (Australia) - 3/10 by Dov KornitsIn the end, this is more comedy than romance, and on that level, it succeeds.
The Australian - 3/10 by David StrattonThe material may have been funny on stage, but it seems strained on film as both families register their horror at the romance.
User Review - 10/10 by Deena DGreat Aussie movie, was laughing all the way through it
User Review - 10/10 by maco mawsome and a bloody hilarious aussir comedy which would prob haplen in real life must c if u wanna lol
User Review - 10/10 by Stephen MGreat movie, featuring some wonderful quirky characters from a Greek and a Lebanese Muslim family thrown into turmoil by the love between Eve and Alex. The interaction between Alex and his senior Maths class is just priceless. The ending is a bit over the top, buy in the tradition of several other great Australian movies which send up society's expectations.
