Despite all those years.. his message is still alive and there still is hope. The meaning of the word "Akeh?" a Hebrew word which means "How?" And it is the first word which Jeremiah started the book of Lamentations with when he said: "How deserted lies the city, once full of people" For no one is cast off by the lord forever. though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD. Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fall. They are new every morning. Lamentations of Jeremiah.
