The feature film is a portrait of the popular resistance and the struggle of the union and student movement against the devaluation of education and teachers, with scenes that bring up the debate about machismo, racism, unity, resilience and everyday life of male and female workers. "Abraço" was produced to have an artistic / documentary character. Based on real stories, the film used more than 500 real extras and more than 80 local actors, from Sergipe, unknown to the general public. The proposal of the feature is to take the place of a film that makes a reading and a critique of the current Brazilian political scenario, mainly with regard to the neglect and permanent devaluation of teachers and education in general. Despite the social criticism contained in the work, it is a fictional film that addresses the personal drama of a teacher torn between defending her professional rights and the domestic routine at home. "Abraço" won the awards for Best Film (Popular Jury), Best Actress and Best Original Soundtrack at the Pernambuco Film Festival 2019. "Sergipe teachers decide to join forces to fight for their labor rights. Together, they establish a confrontation against the Government of the State of Sergipe to ensure that their achievements already achieved are not lost. On a long trip to Aracaju, the group of teachers tries to convince the members of the Court of Justice not to cut the professors' positions. In the midst of all this movement, Ana Rosa (Giuliana Maria) represents the difficulties faced by a mother, married to a man who does not understand her, besides having the disapproval also coming from his mother, who turns out to be a sexist and backward person ".
