In this town everyone knows everyone. In these communities of the rural areas of Puerto Rico families and surnames are distinguished by economic or professional reasons. This story is about the wedding of Mariana who is the daughter of Dr. Zalduondo and who soon will also become a doctor as well. Shortly before graduating from medical school, Mariana returns to Castañer to fulfil her fathers promise to celebrate the greatest wedding ever in the history of Castañer. The entire town of Castañer is preparing for the event ... from the priest to the town drunk. It promises to be the wedding of the century and everyone has to be there. But the groom is not ... from Castañer he is from Cataño a socially different scenery and although he is soon to become a doctor he was brought up in a different manner and under different conditions than Mariana. Everything gets complicated when two families come together for the wedding preparations and festivities of the occasion. Things from the past of both lovers and parents complicate the nuptial. Tangles and cultural clashes as a result of traditions are put face to face in the struggle to celebrate the towns biggest event. Will they be able to tie the knot? Will this wedding go down in Castañer's history as the biggest wedding ever celebrated? Or will the past skeletons be to great in order to get to the final I Do's?
