Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzA first-class creepy performance by Rip Torn as the sadistic psychopath.
User Reviewsteven wthis is quite an amazing movie and very ahead of its time.very suspenseful and makes perfect sense.
User ReviewChristine SWatched it alone at night and it scared the hell out of me!
User ReviewRaylene Dloved it.had me at the edge of my seat and screaming the whole time
User ReviewSpookie MSean S Cunnigham's follow-up to Friday the 13th is a fairly atmospheric suspense film.
User ReviewAj VAn okay thriller, I thought it was going to be a horror movie from the title, but even though it was somewhat scary, it's a thriller, not a horror movie. The actors do a fine job, but they don't have much to do. The movie is entirely predictable. Overall, it's just okay.
User ReviewOrlando DWhat started out as a strong thriller, falls to pieces towards the very end. This was the director of Friday the 13th(Sean S. Cunningham) shot at the big times with this adaptation of the Mary Higgins Clark novel(the second film attempt was the little seen, Where are the Children? from 1986 with Jill Clayburgh.)Here Rip Torn, a very underrated actor, chews the scenery as a kidnapper and murderer. He kidnapps reporter Kate Mulgrew and the daughter of her boyfriend. It becomes a race against time to save them both. The performaces by the others are good, and the musical score is effective-but the movie lacks bite. Could have been a great thriller.
User Reviewshelly bsorry, I don't really remember this. It's been awhile since I've seen any movie really.
User ReviewNikki JIt's not bad, but seems more like a typical 80's made for tv movie...
User ReviewBill BJust dull. What sounds like a set-up for something halfway decent ends looking and feeling like a boring TV movie. Don't go into this expecting to see any scenery-chewing by Rip Torn or you will be sorely disappointed.
