User ReviewJackson SNow this is true entertainment. Possibly the greatest movie since Bee Movie, A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow up Timmy Turner is a movie that truly deserves an Academy Award. it's hilarious, bold, imaginative, and emotional beyond measure. It's scarily relatable and will leave you crying, laughing, and wanting more. This is a truly legendary movie that may never be topped.
User ReviewTy KThis compelling movie features Drake as Timmy Turner, who made an amazing cartoon seem so alive. However, I found the movie a bit much for me, and being a 22-year-old male, the plot just hit a little too close to home in what is happening in my life right now. I am experiencing a lot of troubles in my love life, and these matters are too mature for any youths. I also find the idea of harnessing the power of fairies for an oil company way too unbelievable. I mean, come on, am I right?! Despite the plot holes, I did enjoy Drake and his wonderful performance, both in the soundtrack and the role of Timmy Turner.
User ReviewTommy Dnot bad at all its a really cool live-representation of the cartoon show Drake Bell fits the grown-up version of Timmy Turner and Daniella Monet plays Tootie so well its an interesting approach to make Timmy realize he has to grow up and start noticing Tootie's affections for him I was even surprised by the quick character development they managed to cram in they got Crocker nailed down as well and Timmy's parents Cosmo and Wanda looked very fake but thats what you get when you try to translate a hand-drawn character into real-life its fast, its zippy and there are some funny scenes be warned though b/c alot of the dialogue fails here it would have been cooler to see this in the theater if they did more but as a TV broadcast it works where it is see this movie if you're a die-hard Fairly OddParent fan
User ReviewJackson WWell it's not Toy Story 3, but it had the same melancholy, exciting, yet heartbreaking message of growing up all the same. I thought going in, growing up with the cartoon and hearing about this months ago, that I would either love this adaptation or abhor it, it wouldn't just be "ok". I thought it was a fair yet slightly predictable homage to most of the notable characters, and an exciting end to the Timmy Turner legacy. It also had surprisingly good acting. But take a note Nick, after this, making more Oddparents episodes is now pointless. We all know now what happened in the end. Continuing the franchise would just overflow the barrel of the entire story.
User ReviewGabriel GIf you liked the show, you'll love this short flick. It's surprisingly good for a TV movie, the acting could be better, but it really shouldn't be judged for what it's not.
