User ReviewBruce BFilm 19 with 11 more to go before Christmas. This film should be seen by anyone who has lost a loved one around this time of the year. An excellent movie that tells the tale of a family who lost there son in Desert Storm and was give the news on Christmas Eve. Its been 10 long years since they celebrated Christmas, the father decides its time they stropped morning and had a Christmas, when a visitor shows up, who is he a Angel, his son???? This is one you don't want to miss just have the tissues ready. 5 Stars
User Reviewlisa pLOVE THIS MOVIE!!! It was sooooo good!!!!!!
| User ReviewDenny TAs a Vietnam Veteran, I truly enjoy watching this movie each Christmas. I purchased the DVD several years ago and watch it with my wife each Christmas. The Gulf War wasn't my war. But, the story line always captures my heart and attention. Some things never change when it comes to war, sacrifice and loss. The only inaccuracy might be Johnnie's military service medals and E-6 Sergeant rank after stateside training (prior to being deployed and in combat). But, most folks wouldn't notice that, which is fine. This is a great military service Christmas movie! But, most folks wouldn't notice that, and, that's fine!. | User Reviewj dWonderfully acted by all players, heartwarming Christmas story, and rewarding to see a father holding his family together, especailly through the holidays |
User ReviewMelanie SI reckon EVERYONE should watch this!! It's a CRACKER wee movie. It's important to remember loss and other people's loss at Christmas as well as all the food, presents etc. I found this movie quite deep, but eye-opening as the family had lost their son/brother in the war. Touching, but poignant. I'd be tempted to buy it and just bring it out every Christmas (DV) to never forget our fallen heroes!!
User ReviewRachel SI really enjoyed this movie. It was very interesting. It was a little emotional and sad, but worth watching.
User Reviewmonsieur rA Hall Mark Hall of Fame presentation. Very well done. With Bill DeVane in the lead role, he makes this movie shine. Family still mourns over loss of a son years later. Watch this film if you want to shed a tear for the dearly departed, especially from war. I won't go over the details, but it is sure to evoke emotion from you unless you have a heart of stone. This is not some flag waving, patriotic stuff either. Actors: William Devane, Meredith Baxter, Dean McDermott, Reagan Pasternak, Aaron Ashmore Directors: Christopher Leitch
User ReviewKelly KA surreal film about healing from the hurt of losing a loved one, with a miraculous twist.
User ReviewTerri HNot bad, only watched this as there was nothing else to watch. A feel good movie, keeps the christmas spirit alive!
