Instead, Mother Parker gives him a warning, and to get his hands on the ultimate gift of the holiday season, Ralphie embarks on a mission to talk everyone into seeing things his way. Of course, all the vignettes, the lines, and the gags of the classic original, A Christmas Story (1983), show up, including the Old Man's leg-shaped lamp, the neighbourhood bullies, the flagpole incident, and the little dirty word. Will Ralphie convince adults that he will not shoot his eye out?

I'm not a Broadway dude but I thought this was a great Christmas present so much so I grabbed the soundtrack and m keeping it on the DVR until they sell it. The kids were amazing the performances by Mya and Ralphie were awesome and Jane Kricinski I think who played Shields blew me away...... Even FERRIS BUELLER did great. This will be our new version of this Christmas tradition and we will skip TNT Marathon |

| User ReviewMelanie MBEING A HUGE XMAS STORY FAN I THOUGHT I WOULD HATE THIS BUT I TRY TO HAVE MY KIDS WATCH THE ORIGINAL BUT THEY CAN NOT RELATE BUT WHEN WE WATCHED THIS THEY LOVED IT AND I WAS ABLE TO ENJOY THIS STORY WITH MY KIDS FOR THE FIRST TIME.. IT IS REALLY REALLY HARD TO RECREATE A MOVIE LIKE THIS THAT IS SO CLASSIC, AND I LOVE HOW THEY UPDATED IT WITH THE JEWISH BIT IT WAS SO GREAT !!! MATHEW IS GREAT AS NARRATOR ... WE REALLY ENJOYED IT HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL |
