Prince immediately falls in love with her, but is frightened by the commitment. He tries to escape through having sex with others, but his heart isn't in it. I know how they met and all the little quirks- funny - you cant change destiny no matter how hard you try. Like their marriage - If she would have been older and more mature-- It would have been truely EXPLOSIVE. a good film to watch with a few girlfriends - if nothing more than to watch Prince do what he does oh so well. An attempt is made to mythologise the relationship beyween Prince and Mayte Garcia as well as the reason for Prince's name change in the mid-nineties. Hip Hop cliches, an incomprehensible plot and Kirstie Alley are all reasons why this fail. |
