The New York Times - 5/10 by Nicolas RapoldMining deeper emotions from the fanciful premise doesn’t work out for the film, which gets tied down to a generic musical-contest subplot. It’s a workable comedy that’s sunk by its attempts to impersonate something else too.

I'm not going to lie I cried at the end, definitely wasn't expecting to. Everyone should watch it, its amazing!

The production team for 20 once again definitely deserves credit for giving the film a facelift for the Chinese Market and what a remarkable job they have done. A wonderfully created setting and mood to the film that is more Korean than Chinese, yet suits the Chinese market wonderfully. This is not a brand new idea, and the plot isn't even that different from many previous attempts, but 20 Once Again is definitely a successful one in creating a funny and heartwarming story filled with memorable characters.
User Review - 6/10 by Steve WThis Chinese remake of the Korean film Miss Granny (2014) is serviceable, copying the original's storyline beat for beat without adding much to it. Newcomer actress Zishang Yang is really good here, since her debut So Young (2013). The movie copies the original, changing only a few small details, usually not for the better. Its an easy way to bring this movie to Chinese audiences (especially with the k-pop guy), but you're better off just watching the Korean original.
