Yannick Saillet was born in 1966 in Caen, Calvados, France. Son of a soldier, he spent his childhood between Africa, Asia and Europe. At the age of seventeen he decided to sell the car of its parents to help fund her first short film "My first act" with Richard Bohringer and Roland White. He then worked as an assistant director for Serge Gainsbourg, Margaret von Trotta, Olivier Assayas, among others. He closes his career as an assistant on the filming of the television series " Dallas ". From 1993 to 2007, he directed over 160 music Videos for French and international artists such as Curt Smith (Tears for Fears), Marc Almond (Soft Cell), Céline Dion, Garou, Yannick Noah or Jay Jay Johanson. Also, since 1998 he conducts each year the clips of the Enfoirés for the " restos du cœur ". It is rewarded in 2003 with a Victory of the music for the video "Spin the violins" by Jean Jacques Goldman. In 2013, he directed his first feature film "Trapped" with Pascal Elbé Laurent Lucas.
