Ostap Kostyuk was born in 1979 in Коломия, СРСР (Україна). Ukrainian film Director, actor, musician. Born in 1979 in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. Graduated from the history faculty of Lviv national University. Ivan Franko and the actors Studio of the Lviv academic theater. Kurbas. As an actor worked in the Theatre. Kurbas. Is the co-author of such musical projects as "Banda Arkan", "Tatosh Banda", "Gich Orchestra". Film debut of Ostap Kostyuk took place in 2011. In collaboration with Alexander Pozdnyakov he directed the short film "Manu and the cabbage." In 2015 he was presented the documentary "Living Vatra". The film was awarded the only special award of the jury at the canadian festival Hot Docs in the nomination "international feature documentaries".
