Oddvar Bull Tuhus was born in 1940 in Oslo. Oddvar Bull Tuhus (born 14. December 1940 in Oslo) is a Norwegian director and filmmaker who has been making feature films and tv series since his spillefilmdebut Rødblått paradise in 1971. In his first film bar his style clearly inspired by the French new bølgefilm and the modernist films of the 1960s and 1970s. With his next movie Maria Marusjka from 1973 rather Tuhus more towards the realistic film and also won the Filmkritikerprisen for his work. In the 80's went Tuhus again new roads and made three ungdomsfilmer and a spenningsfilm, his last movies were more in the direction populærfilmen and especially his last film, Blücher from 1988 was characterized by the large blockbuster - and actionfilmene from the 80s. He is also the founder and chairman of the board of the private production companies Vampyrfilm (founded 1970) and Marcusfilm (founded 1974).
