The first movie was made, van der Linden, in 1944, at age eighteen. In 1952, he made van der Linden in his first real speelfim. In this movie (Three guys and a dog, ran, van der Linden, on 16-mm film, without sound. The sound it made and Henk for showing in community centers just to live there. This movie was such a success, that is, van der Linden, decided to start the shoot in 35 mm. Van der Linden, and wrote his stories himself, and, based often on the heroes of the literary jeugdlectuur, Thick bass Drum, Sjors and Sjimmie, Ricky Bell, and a Year on Turf.
