Armand Guerra was born in 1886 in Lliria, València, Comunitat Valenciana, Spain. Joseph Estívalis Out, more known by its pseudonyms Armand Guerra and José Silavitse, film director, writer and Spanish journalist, of ideology anarchist. Parents peasants, was an altar boy, and he was admitted in a seminar that he gave up becoming anticlerical. He worked as a typographer in Valencia and participated in strikes with the CNT. Imprisoned, he fled to France and Switzerland and contacted with circles anarchists, as the Germ deGinebra. It was later in Italy, Egypt, Athens, Constantinople, Constance, Belgrade, Thessaloniki... Writes in Land and Freedom of Barcelona. Participates in the tragic Week. He writes also in French and Italian and in other publications with the pseudonym Joseph Silavitse (her last name backwards) (Le Reveil e Il Risveglio). Translated texts anarchists of the German and the French. In Paris and in Berlin begins to direct film and also working as an actor under the pseudonym Armand War. Exploded the Civil War, takes part in it, mainly in The Stain. About that experience, filming Flesh of beasts (1936) and writes through the shrapnel. Scenes and experiences in the fronts and in the rear (1937). With a daughter at Paris, is exiled at the end of the war, and died in Paris because of an aneurysm in 1939.
