Susanne Bruun-Koppel was born in 1936. Susanne Bruun-Koppel is the daughter of the two royal chapel-musici Julius Koppel and Else Marie Bruun. She made her debut on the boards in Studenterrevyen in the late ' 50s. After that she was trained at The Royal Danish Theatre Elevskole and in 1960 she got the title role in the film "Gymnasiepigen". The same year she was employed at the Aalborg Theatre, where she was an adorable young førsteskuespillerinde with leading roles in "A scent of honey" (debut), "Vildfuglen", "twelfth night", "Gidslet", "Andorra" and "the Tale". In 1966, she went with director Karen Marie Løwert to Copenhagen at det Ny Scala, where she bl.a. played with in "Animals in Hakkebakkeskoven" and in "Fiddler on the roof". Susanne Bruun-Koppel broke up again, when her husband, the actor William Monk, became the commander of the Moscow Theatre, where she for a number of years starred in a wide repertoire. From 1985 she was employed as a prompter at The Royal Theatre. Susanne Bruun-Koppel was married the 4. June 1963 in Budolfi Kirke, Aalborg with the actress Holger Munk.
