Søren Elung Jensen was born in 1928. Søren Elung Jensen is the son of slagermester Niels Christian Elung Jensen and wife Selma Roland Jensen. He became a student in 1947, and would as a youngster, to be a doctor. He passed forberedelsesprøven at Aarhus University lægevidenskablige falkutet, before he began to read at Olaf Ussing and was admitted as a student at the Odense Theatre in the years 1951-53, after which he was engaged at the theatre 1953-1961. He made his debut in the English christmas show "Smiles and tears", but quickly came to play in a wide repertoire. From the earliest years is remembered in particular his leading role as Jimmy Porter in "Young fury". In 1961, he came to The Royal Theatre and in 1964 he moved to The New Theater, as well as all the three landsdelsscener in rapid order. From 1965 he was firmly engaged at the TV-the Theatre, which in these years had its own ensemble. He has had numerous major and significant roles in both the classical repertoire and the absurd drama at The Royal theatre. Theatre, The New Theatre, Aalborg Theatre, The Danish Theatre, Odense Theatre Aarhus Theatre, The New Scala, the Café Theatre and TV Theatre. He has bl.a. played roles in "the Seagull", "Medea", "Three sisters", "the Caretaker", "A dream of autumn" and "Choktilstand". In the mid 1970s, he was again firmly attached to the stage in Odense and was here allowed to play a number of big roles, bl.a. like Willy Loman in "death of A salesman". In Aarhus, he played Sigmund Freud in Svend Aage Madsen's "Naked masks". And later came a real commitment in Aalborg, before he again was freelanceskuespiller with a wide variety of roles on stages across the country. Also as a director, Søren Elung Jensen is unfolded and set so that various performances such as "Mice and men", "The merry widow", the musical "Fiddler on the roof" and the Kaj Munk "Egelykke" in the scene. He married the first time 14. may 1955 with skuespillerkollegaen Rita Angela. The marriage was dissolved in 1966. From 1967, he lived with - and married the 22. July 1972 with another colleague Jonna Hjerl. In 1986 created Søren Elung Jensen, together with his wife teaterselskabet Teaterekspressen ApS, and the couple played together on Jørgen Blaksted Tour.
