In the 1950s he worked with several Dutch artists, including Tom Manders. In 1966 he joined the duo which made his name, De Mounties, after the death of the previous, a straight man, Fred ringed plover. Although they weren't friends), Piet Bambergen (loud, short, and fat), and René Van Vooren's private (tall and distinguished, resulting in an inverted Laurel-and-Hardy - style) proved a most comical duo on stage. His theater successes, all co-starring with Piet Bambergen, included: Three in the pan (as I am sure that Joke Bruys), Good Neighbors (Rudi Cycle, and John Leddy and Diana Dobbelman), Marriage under construction (Rudi Cycle, Carry Tefsen), to be kind to each other and Private, for the Actors Cycle and the Marlies Alcmaer). After Bambergen's death in 1996, René Van Vooren joined Joop van den Ende Productions (Uk commercial TELEVISION), but now as a creative producer. His productions are included in the André van Duin show. Rene died in Blaricum on 25 November 1998.
