Rasmus Christiansen was born in 1885 in Vejlby, Denmark. Rasmus Bech Christiansen came first in learn as a machinist at Frichs Eftf. in Aarhus, before he began to read with the actor Ludvig Nathansen and registering as a student at the Aarhus Theater. He made his debut at the Copenhagen summer theatre in the summer of 1904 as Sandrup in the "Familietvist". The same year he came in at Frederiksberg Theatre and later at The New Theatre, the dagmar theatre and Folketeatret. Rasmus Christiansen struck for real his name on the Alexandrateatret in 1915 in lystspillet "fairy Tale". From 1925 to his death he was associated with The royal Theatre. He had the roles of bl.a. as the Flute in "A midsummer night's dream", the old shepherd in "As one pleases", Heritage in the "Henrik and Pernille" and Jeppe Berg in "Erasmus Montanus".
