Oļgerts Kroders was born in 1921 in Riga, Latvia. Born on 9 Aug 1921 in Riga in the family of a prominent journalist, drama critic and translator Robert Kroders and actress Herta wolf. Studied at the philological and philosophical faculties of the University of Latvia. Was arrested (14 June 1941) and was in exile in Siberia.
