Maja Salvador was born in 1988 in Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines. Maja Ross Andres Salvador (born October 5, 1988) is a Filipino film and television actress. In 2006, she made her film debut in the horror movie Sukob, for which she won the Golden Screen Award for Breakthrough Performance by an Actress, the PMPC Star Award for New Movie Actress of the Year, and a FAMAS nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 2011, she co-produced and portrayed the title role in the film Thelma, which earned her the Gawad Urian Award and the Film Academy of the Philippines Award for Best Actress. She also starred in First Day High (2006), One More Chance (2007), My Cactus Heart (2012), 24/7 in Love (2012), Status: It's Complicated (2013), I'm Drunk, I Love You (2017), and To Love Some Buddy (2018).
