Kumari Rukmini was born in 1929. Rukmini gambling (Birth: 19 April 1929 Death: 04 September 2007) was an Indian cine actress and dancer. She has acted in about 100 films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. She is the daughter of Nungambakkam Janaki, also actress of the moment. She hails from the district at melattur in Thanjavur. During the shooting of Harishchandra in Bombay (now Mumbai) from the field as the producers were looking for a young actor to feature. Gambling Rukmini, as a child, was staying with her parents in the next room, where T. P. Rajalakshmi, who was the female lead in the film, was staying. The producers talked to the parents and gambling as feature to Rukmini Leonidas made the movie. This all began movie career. She featured in many films together with T. P. Rajalakshmi. Sri Valli Valli was the first film in which she acted as heroine each paired with T. R. as I'm Mahalinga. In 1946 she featured in Lavangi paired with the multi-talented, Y. V. Rao.
