Jean Jaurès was born in 1859 in Castres, France. Jean Jaurès was a French politician, born at Castres (Tarn) September 3, 1859 and died assassinated in Paris July 31, 1914. Speaker and parliamentary socialist, he was particularly illustrated by his pacifism and his opposition to the outbreak of the First world War.
