Inger Lassen was born in 1911 in Varde. Inger Valborg Lassen was the daughter of kommunelærer, cand. mag. later director of education in Odense, denmark king of Norway, Charles Lassen (19-11-1868 - 22-02-1939) and wife Harriet Valborg Rasmine Schmidt (1875-1936), who was a sister to the actors Robert and Albrecht Schmidt. She made her debut at Ove Jarne in the autumn of 1932 in the town of Svendborg, in the "Spring in Vienna" and worked at his company until the summer of 1934. Then she came in a couple of seasons at the dagmar theatre, where she bl.a. starred in "Now is it morning", "Cards on the table" and "The living corpse".
