Hiroko Matsumoto was born in 1935 in Tokyo, Japan. Pierre Cardin the meeting in 1957, during a trip to Japan, when she already is a model in Tokyo ; he falls in love with her and proposes her to follow him to Paris. After three years of reflection, Hiroko Matsumoto decides to join Pierre Cardin and his fashion house. Hiroko Matsumoto is at the age of 24 years. Pierre Cardin made her his muse and supermodel, directing the cab of the designer, symbol of the craze of the fashion and the art of japanese living. Nicknamed " Mademoiselle Hiroko ", it is the first top-japanese model in a collection of ready-to-wear French and is known throughout the world. Hiroko Matsumoto stops in 1967 his career as a model. She married Henry Berghauer, the leader of the group, Pierre Cardin, the future CEO of Hanae Mori, and then to the couture house Hervé Léger. In the same year, she gave birth to her first daughter Olivia Berghauer, who will become director within the Italian fashion house Versace. She becomes an actress playing the role of Kyoko, femme fatale and mistress of Antoine Doinel, played by Jean-Pierre Léaud in 1970 Domicile conjugal by François Truffaut ; it requires François Truffaut that it changes its storyline for it to be Kyoko, who breaks up with Antoine Doinel and not the reverse. Their daughter, Maxime Cathalan, is kidnapped at the age of twenty months under the eyes of her nurse in the jardin du Ranelagh in Paris ; it will be returned to her parents on 23 June 1975 against a ransom of 1.5 million swiss francs, making the a French daily. Jean-Claude Cathalan will describe the abduction in an interview given to the magazine Le Point in 1976. Hiroko Cathalan died on 21 June 2003 in Paris at the age of 67 years.
