Hervé Sand was born in 1937 in Paris, France. He was a boarder of the Comédie-Française (1961-1963 and 1971-1976). It follows during a two-year course in dramatic art Maurice Escande, and then leads the call and enlisted in the Navy. Back in 1958, he entered the Conservatoire and remained there three years, where he was successively in the class of René Simon and Robert Manuel. Still a student, he made his first steps in a role of figuration within the Renaud-Barrault Company in the Shoe of satin. He obtained two first prizes in 1961. One, classic, with The Divorce of Regnard, the other, modern with The affairs are the affairs of Octave Mirbeau. His premierpseudonyme is " Sandry ". In 1961, he entered the Comédie-Française and the left a year later, unhappy with little play. He will return there in 1971.
