Geir Børresen was born in 1942. Geir Børresen (born 16. november 1942) is a Norwegian actress and singer who is best known for effort in English children's TV in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. He had in the period 1978-81 great success with barnefigurene the Smurfs and sold 400 000 discs in one year. Education: four years at the State School. Børresens debut on TV was as a presenter together with Vibeke Sæther in the children's TV series Playhouse in 1971. In 1978, he became known for making music to tegneseriefigurene the Smurfs. The first disc was a big hit, and the three sequels came out in 1979 and 1981. Total sales for the first three plates were 380.000. From 1982 and beyond the 80's he played (dressed up) the role of the dog Labbetuss in the children's TV series the Three-four-five, after that, he played the role of Max Manufacture in the children's TV series Sesame street (1990-98).
