Geir Børresen was born in 1942. Geir Børresen (born 16. november 1942) is a Norwegian actress and singer who is best known for effort in English children's TV in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. He had in the period 1978-81 great success with barnefigurene the Smurfs and sold 400 000 discs in one year. Education: four years at the State School. Børresens debut on TV was as a presenter together with Vibeke Sæther in the children's TV series Playhouse in 1971. In 1978, he became known for making music to tegneseriefigurene the Smurfs.
