Francesco Guccini was born in 1940 in Modena, Italy. Francesco Guccini was born in Modena on the 14th of June 1940, but because of the war and spent his childhood and part of adolescence in the country of his grandparents, Pàvana, resort of the Apennines of Pistoia, on the border with the province of bologna. He attended the Istituto magistrale Modena and the teaching Faculty of Letters of Bologna, the city where he moved in 1960.
