Einar Reim was born in 1897 in København. Einer Johan Reim was a pupil of Albert Luther and was educated at Folkescenens elevskole 1918-20. He made his debut 6. July 1920 at the open air theatre in Svendborg, denmark as Peter in "An adventure in Rosenborg Garden". Einer Reim was 1921-26 on Sønderbros Theatre, where he played the title role in Ravn Jonsen's and Chr. Bogo's folkekomedie "the Man from America". He was quickly popular as the Amager scene young sangelsker and after the engagement at the Odense Theatre in the years 1926-29, he came in 1930 to the Folketeatret, where he played skomagerdrengen in "Three little Girls". Later, he was at Nørrebros Teater and the 1932-35 at Odense folk theatre, 1937-38 at Folketeatret in Copenhagen, at The new Theater, 1938-39, as well as on the Andelsscenen, where he was Dr. Knock in Jules Romains's comedy. In 1946, he played Napoleon in "Madame Sans-Gêne" at the Hedvig Schad-Tour and then came to Alliancescenerne. He had many roles for Skolescenen and was widely used in radio theater. In the 1950s he was a permanent member of the cast in the sommerrevyerne in Svendborg, bl.a. "There must be a dot" in 1953. From 1957 to 1968, he was turnéleder of Landsskolescenen. Einer Reim could two months before his death, celebrate his 50 year anniversary at the Scala, as he was attached to in recent years, and where his last role was a police officer in Gustav Wied-the show "His evil".
