Antonie Hegerliková was born in 1923 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia [now Slovakia]. Antonia Hegerlíková was born 27. November 1923 in Bratislava in the family of the maid and the former baker, an officer of German nationality. Her elder sister Anna was a later doctor. In ten years her father died, grew up in Zilina, where she attended ballet class. After the secession of Slovakia to the year 1938, the family moved to Prague, where she continued with ballet, with prima ballerina Jelizavety Nikolské. During his studies at the grammar school she wanted to become a high school teacher of geography and pe. At the instigation of the Nikolské began with the study of the drama department of the prague State conservatory (1939 – 1943), which she graduated with Jiří Frejka, Anna Iblové and George Shy. Already during her studies she appeared as a guest at the National theatre in Prague. In the years 1943 – 1945 gradually performed in the Theatre of Vlasta Burian, in the Theater in the Smetana museum, and in the Intimate theater. After the liberation and after a short engagement in D, 46 E. F. Burian has become a long standing member of the Vinohrady Theatre (1946 – 2004).
