Amidou was born in 1935 in Rabat, Morocco. Of moroccan origin, Amidou begins at the theater with Madeleine Renaud and Jean-Louis Barrault in Les Paravents by Genet, which he participated in the creation surging in 1961. He made his first steps in cinema in 1960 in The Own of the man by Claude Lelouch, where he has become one of the favourite actors.
