Aleksandr Belyavskiy was born in 1932 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR. Alexander Belyavsky was born on 6 may 1932 in Moscow into the family of Boris Moiseevich Beliavsky (1906-1979) and Lubov Belyavskaya (née Petrova, 1906-1984). He graduated from the geological faculty of the Moscow Institute of nonferrous metals and gold in 1955. After graduation in 1955 he went to work in the city of Irkutsk, East-Siberian geological administration (the"Sosnovgeologiya").
