Movie Reviews

Radio Times - 8/10 by Tom Hutchinson [The film] has some wonderful ideas, but they're likely to be a bit above the heads of very young children. The rest should enjoy it, especially the bits with the great Mel Blanc, Toonville's greatest-ever voice.
Common Sense Media - 8/10 by Paul Trandahl Clever artistry fails to convey the book's depth.
Film and Felt - 7/10 by Gabe Leibowitz The animation is clean, with enough pop to do Dictionopolis-and-company justice.
User Review - 10/10 by james H I've checked this movie out from the public library about twenty times. I know it by heart.
User Review - 10/10 by Stephanie D this is such an amazing movie i can remember watching when i was in elementary school, ya know, i think it should be remade by director tim burton, i think it would be just as good if not even better than this original, i recommend those who are young at heart to see this

User Review - 10/10 by Kathryn D I read the book years ago, have not seen this production, but speculate that it's at least OK as an intro to Juster's perfect prose, as well as the spirit of the Jules Pfeiffer illustrations. The novel (allegedly for children) is seminal, epochal, necessary.
