Cinema Crazed - 9/10 by Felix Vasquez Jr. Like Lovecraft for the Goonies audience...
Combustible Celluloid - 5/10 by Jeffrey M. Anderson I saw this movie in the theater in 1987 and thought it was pretty bad back then; it's still pretty bad, but the visual effects hold up pretty well.
User Review - 10/10 by Jezzy A After this movie my dad got me a bunch of geodes I've yet to summon any demons, but when i find time some day, totally on top of that
User Review - 10/10 by Alicia M 5 Stars I OWN both the gate and gate 2 on vhs if anyone is intrested. This movie kicks ass the kid in the glasses reminds me of my best friend patrick. It is a real scary movie. About finding an underworld under your house. Little gremlin demons running around. Kind of remind me of the ghoulies.
User Review - 10/10 by Lilo C I havent seen this Movie a while now. Have to see it again.
User Review - 10/10 by Cyn T A sort of 'Evil Dead' for a younger audience, 'The Gate' is best remembered for starring a pre-stardom Stephen Dorff. Dorff appears as Glen, a kid who just happens to stumble upon a gateway to the hell through a recently unearthed hole in his backyard. His parents away for the weekend, his older sister in charge and his best friend sleeping over, the minions of 'The Gate' beseige the house and make preparations for Hell on Earth! This makes way for an imaginative rollercoaster ride of thrills, chills and rueful chuckles. Dorff, Christa Denton and Louis Tripp are a dynamic trio and director Tibor Takacs balances the movie with the right amount of atmospheric tension and snappy dialogue. The special effects, both make-up and stop-motion, are exceptional.

User Review - 10/10 by Blaze D classic 80s "kid"horror. this movie was definitely made to scare the shit out of kids, and i was one of them.i found this for $5 at walmart in the big bin.i would of paid $20 just to relive the childhood memories of this classic.i wish i could get my hands on the sequel. "Youve been BAD!" is my favorite line, and i love the melting phone scene.
User Review - 10/10 by Chris E wow i seen this movie i was a kid on tv in early 1990's and also i didnt seen that movie in about 20 years ago. so i finally done watching this movie and one of the good horror 1980's movie. actor young stephen dorff of his film debut before he the biggest star ("deuces wild", "cold creek minor", "blade", and etc). so this film pretty weird with of little demon creatures and the giant creature. and here another one of with zombie aka. workman from the wall and kinda look like one from before release "pet sematary". it seen one of good ending of film. i give them with thumbs up and i really like that film.
User Review - 8/10 by Patricia S Pretty good for an old movie. And the little Stephen Dorff is so cute. Seriously, the visual effects are not great but what can you expect from a 1987 movie? The plot is really good and you get scared sometimes.
User Review - 8/10 by Jackie C Fantastically B-Grade thriller i remember loving as a child. The demons freak me out though
