Movie Reviews

Washington Post - 8/10 by Desson Thomson When I say this movie's a charm, I'm really talking about Irwin.
Aisle Seat - 8/10 by Mike McGranaghan The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course is one of the most unusual movies I've ever seen, but it remains faithful to Irwin's appeal, and therefore it works.
Chicago Sun-Times - 8/10 by Roger Ebert Forget the plot. The movie is really about Steve and Terri taking us on a guided tour of the crocs, snakes, deadly insects and other stars of the outback fauna. Steve's act is simplicity itself.
Entertainment Weekly - 8/10 by Lisa Schwarzbaum The mad genius of this cheerily bonkers feature is the integration of a documentary-style safari into an outlandish fiction involving a fancy-pants CIA pursuit of a downed spy satellite, and a shotgun-wielding outback widow.
Film Snobs - 8/10 by Stephen Himes Steve Irwin's method is Ernest Hemmingway at accelerated speed and volume.
Matinee Magazine - 8/10 by Nick Schager Modestly entertaining romp through the Australian Outback.
Los Angeles Times - 8/10 by John Anderson So refreshing and funny and, in its way, sophisticated.
Journal News (Westchester, NY) - 8/10 by Marshall Fine Irwin is so earnest that it's hard to resist his pleas to spare wildlife and respect their environs. There are far worse messages to teach a young audience, which will probably be perfectly happy with the sloppy slapstick comedy.
Chicago Reader - 7/10 by Hank Sartin Kids used to watching him on TV might find it all perfectly normal, but for adults it's almost an acid trip.
Variety - 7/10 by Todd McCarthy A perfectly respectable kid-friendly family offering.
L.A. Weekly - 7/10 by Gendy Alimurung Thankfully, the film, which skirts that rapidly deteriorating line between fantasy and reality -- Irwin as "himself" as croc expert as suspected international spy -- takes a tongue-in-cheek attitude even as it pushes the Croc Hunter agenda: Mother Nature? Don’t muck with her.
The New York Times - 7/10 by Dana Stevens A curiously thrilling and often hilarious experience.
